CABRIO is back with a digital program of films, conversations and performances, all made available through the new online platform On 29.04.2020, the series begins with a program of short films by the Bielefeld artists Christine Gensheimer and Renke Brandt, whose photocollages examine the joys and miseries of being together.

This year’s CABRIO focuses on the concept of community. As the underlying basis of society, community can activate identity and solidarity, but it can also serve to exclude outsiders. When a community faces new challenges, individuals’ relations to that community are redefined. At a time of social transformation with unpredictable outcomes, we are urgently confronted with questions of how to live together and act collectively. How can art help us experience and understand these transformational processes? How will artists rise to the challenge of the present day? The project is curated by Jana Wieking.

CABRIO.DIGITAL takes place every second Wednesday at 19:00.
